Niv Nirel Center

The Niv Nirel Center is a pioneering, world-class trauma and rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing state-of-the-art treatment to victims of combat-related trauma.

Our leading trauma specialists deliver gold-standard therapy, providing exceptional care not only to patients but also to their families. We are committed to supporting survivors, regardless of a formal PTSD diagnosis, and will actively reach out to those who may be hesitant to seek help.

The center is established in memory of Niv Raviv & Nirel Zini, a young couple tragically murdered in the October 7th terror attacks at their home on Kibbutz Kfar Aza, who dreamed of improving the lives of those suffering from PTSD.

In collaboration with Lev Hasharon Mental Health Center, government institutions, and leading academic institutions in Israel and the United States, our center combines pioneering research and development to provide advanced trauma treatment and rehabilitation. The center aims to be a hub of knowledge and training for thousands of mental health care providers, in order to advance the quality of services provided throughout the country.

The research activity keeps the center at the forefront of knowledge and clinical practice, helps deepen the understanding of traumatic reactions and enables the development of new knowledge for diverse, evidence-based treatment methods.

The Niv Nirel Center currently deals with four main areas:

1. Developing treatment methods adapted for women: combatants, combat supporters, mothers and spouses.

2. Participation in the 'Healing October 7' study, which examines the integration of mind-expanding techniques in mental healing processes.

3. Examining the effect of group and movement therapy as a tool for coping with trauma.

4. Studies on the treatment of patients returning to reserve service and sometimes also to the area where they experienced trauma.

The center is supporting the acute, immediate, and specific needs of first responders, reservists, and special forces.
